The Midlife Rebel Podcast
Midlife Rebel is a podcast for women in their 40s and 50s who feel like something is shifting — even if they can’t quite explain it.
In 2022, I hit my own turning point. I stopped drinking, had my first Human Design reading, and started questioning a lot of what I thought I knew about life. What some people call a midlife crisis, I came to see differently — as a midlife awakening.
Because at this stage of life, things do start to change.
Your body. Your roles. Your priorities.
And the questions get bigger.
Who am I now?
What actually matters to me?
How do I navigate hormones and menopause in a way that works for me?
How do I stay vital as I get older?
What does purpose look like from here?
I wasn’t prepared to just follow the old story — that it’s all downhill from here.
I wanted answers. I wanted to feel better in my body. And I knew there had to be more to this stage of life than what we’ve been told.
On this podcast, I explore these questions through conversations with a wide range of guests — from health practitioners and authors to coaches and everyday women navigating their own version of midlife.
We talk about:
– health, hormones, and staying well in midlife
– burnout, stress, and emotional wellbeing
– purpose, identity, and starting over
– menopause, sobriety, and lifestyle change
– and the more esoteric side of things, including Human Design, astrology, and personal growth
This isn’t about blowing up your life. It’s about finding your truth and rewriting the old story — because there’s a little bit of rebel in all of us.

In this episode I talk with Qi Gong teacher, Elizabeth Bond.
We chat about her own personal journey using Qi Gong as part of her healing journey from a severe auto-immune disease, as well as her journey as a teacher of the practis e.
In true Life, Health & the Universe style, we managed to touch on all three subjects in this wonderful conversation.
----------
Elizabeth has been practising dynamic Qigong forms and stillness meditation since 1993 and
considers herself a lifelong student of the healing arts.
She’s a passionate teacher, bringing warmth and humour to her classes, workshops and
retreats. She believes Qigong can be practised by all people to achieve optimum health and
wellbeing, using the principles of peace, balance and harmony.
After 10 years she took the plunge and qualified to be an instructor in 2003, first teaching
classes in the Northern Rivers NSW and running workshops at festivals and retreats in QLD
and NSW.
After moving to the beautiful Nambucca Valley, NSW in 2009, she left the AATC with much
gratitude and founded Mid North Coast Tai Chi in October 2010 (running until 2014).
Since then she has had the privilege of training with experienced teachers, Masters and
Grandmasters in Australia and China, including:
Renowned Shaolin Monk, Shi Xing Jun from China’s famous Shaolin temple
Dr. Xu Hongtao, Qigong Department in the Xiyuan Hospital, China
Tai Chi, Qigong and Taoist Lineage Master Bruce Frantzis, United States
Classes:
Elizabeth is aligned with Australian Qigong Master Simon Blow and through him has learned
and teaches numerous Qigong and meditation forms, handed down by his teachers, at
workshops, retreats and in China.
She is currently redoing her teacher training (after 20 years!) with Master Blow and teaches
classes in the sleepy coastal town of Scotts Head on the Mid North Coast NSW, Australia.
